Piedmont, Italy
89 Points Vinous
The 2016 Dolcetto d'Alba is gracious, medium in body, and exquisitely delicious. Readers should expect a fragrant, lifted wine with generous aromatics, silky, textured fruit and impeccable overall balance. A touch of whole clusters adds aromatic dimension throughout. This is one of the more restrained, gracious Dolcettos readers will come across.

Olivier Riviere Rayos Uva 2017
Rioja, Italy
90 Points Wine Advocate
The entry-level red blend 2017 Rayos Uva was destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts. It's a similar blend of grapes—50% Tempranillo, 30% Garnacha and 20% Graciano—from Rioja Baja. 2017 was a ripe and early harvest with low yields that delivered concentrated juice. This is fruit-driven and juicy, very drinkable.

Deep ruby. Intense violet/black cherry on the very perfumed nose. Then big dense and juicy, with ripe black cherry and candied violet flavors complicated by flint and aromatic spices.
